Call for Submission
Calling all family from around the world to be a part of our upcoming music video “To My People” by joining in and clapping to the beat while really enjoying yourselves!
The song “To My People” – is an ode to all of our loved ones, all the people in our lives, the amazing inter-connected support system we have underneath us. This is a song to and for all of humanity!
Please watch this Reference Video (that was shot in India) and READ THE FULL DIRECTIONS below before creating and submitting your short video.
There are two kinds of clapping shots we are looking for:
a. People clapping within frames. This could be window frames, door frames, bus stop frames, arches, etc.
b. Large groups of people clapping together in a beautiful setting with good lighting.
2. SHOOT VIDEO
Technical Notes: (Please consult a friend that is camera/tech saavy to make sure the following happens properly):
a. Film must be shot in full HD (1920 x 1080)
b. Lighting must be very good (ideal times to shoot are outside morning or evening during sunset times). Light should be on the face of those clapping (not in the back of them)
c. The video should be NO LONGER than 10 seconds of your ‘clapping’ video
d. Most Importantly, the spirit of the folks clapping must be an amazingly fun, positive and joyous spirit! AND EVERYONE SHOULD BE CLAPPING TOGETHER ON THE BEAT!! :)) JUST ONE MORE REMINDER: CLAPPING TOGETHER ON THE BEAT. :))
e. Please find the attached Mp3 to download & play out loud, while recording the video. -YOU MUST PLAY THE SONG OUT REALLY LOUD, while recording the video, so that those involved really feel the spirit. TRUST US! it will be worth your time to get a large speaker, connect it to your phone or laptop and play it loudly for all participants while recording the video. (THIS WILL MAKE THE BIGGEST IMPACT ON THEIR EXPRESSION AND ENERGY) *UNFORTUNATELY, WE CAN NOT ACCEPT LOW ENERGY (non-happy) PARTICIPANTS FOR THIS VIDEO :)
